The 2010 International Equestrian Festival™

Traditionally, visitors drawn to the area celebrate nightly in the town centers and squares of European cities that have hosted this honored event. And we are proud to announce that downtown Lexington will continue in this tradition – and with the addition of some very exciting events to entertain and delight the worldwide audiences that will gather together after the horses return to their stables.

Horse Capital Productions will host its highly-anticipated International Equestrian Festival in downtown Lexington – a fun-filled continuation and addition to the daily activities located outside downtown.

In short, it’s going to be a great chance for anyone who attends (or even those who were not able to get tickets) to participate in an incredible selection of activities, vendor/shopping opportunities and all the extra exciting events that will fill the downtown area and bring crowds out to celebrate unlike Lexington has ever seen before…that’s hundreds of thousands of potential customers!

Spotlight Lexington's "Celebrating the Equine Spirit" Parade

Date: Sunday, September 26

Time: 6:00 PM

Description: Horse Capital Productions, producer of the International Equestrian Festival, will be the main feature in the “Celebrating the Equine Spirit” parade on Sunday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. The parade is part of the city’s Spotlight Lexington 17-days of free activities and will highlight a variety of breeds and horse industry associations. 

Route: The Parade Will Begin at the Intersection of Main Street and Midland Avenue and continue west on Main street. Take a left turn on Vine Street and pass in front of the IEF before ending at the cornor of Vine Street and South Broadway.

Entry Fees:
Non-profit organizations: $50 per entry.
Standard/Commercial/Business entry: $100 per entry.
Motorized Transportation: $100 per entry.
Entries including more than 10 horses will be charged an additional $50.
Checks should be made payable to the Downtown Lexington Corporation. The Downtown Lexington corp. also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
